Change of Plans Cards
We had already sent out save the date cards for the big city wedding.
I sent handwritten cards to everyone letting them know we changed our minds. I know it's bad etiquette but we did our best.

Invitations
We verbally asked our guests to get a guest list created and then discussed dates and travel with confirmed guests.
Even though they had confirmed, I wanted to give them a formal invitation. Since we only needed 4 invitations, I went the DIY route.
I used brushed metal tins to hold shredded filler in 3 of our 4 colors.
I found cute triangle shaped bottles to add sand and shells to.
I picked up nice, colorful leather passport covers for everyone.
I found velum sparkly envelopes to slip the travel papers into. I printed resort confirmations and the information for the flights.
Finally I printed invitations that I designed myself on weddingchicks.com in their freebie section.
The paper is flat for printing on one side and shimmery on the back.
I added a couple more shells to the box too.
Total cost per invite: ~$12

At Home Celebration Invites
These were so easy and fun for me. I ordered a fabulous design from Ashley's Party Inspirations. She was super fast! I printed them off on photo paper to have a shine, and back them using good old rubber cement and a sparkly, pearl shine card stock. I picked the card stock up at Office Max and I got my purple envelopes from The Paper Source.
