Amanda & Matthew Tie The Knot!

About Us
Amanda & Matthew

We first met in 2006 through a mutual friend. We became amazing friends quickly and had a lot of romantic chemistry. We instantly became mainstays in each other lives. After a year of flirting and going on "unofficial" dates, we had our first date in 2007.

In 2009, we were faced with a long distance relationship.
After living in different cities for 9 months, we both knew we were meant to be together. Despite the distance, our bond never faltered and in fact only grew stronger.

In March of 2010, Matthew proposed after a

beautifully romantic recreation of our first official date.
We can not wait to be married and start the next chapter of life together.

The Proposal

Our first date was dinner at Geja's Cafe, a fondue restaurant in Chicago, and a trip to Navy Pier complete with a Ferris wheel ride. During my spring break, Matt decided to recreate the night with a fantastic dinner and trip to the pier. It was a really chilly night so the pier was pretty deserted. Towards the end of the pier, all alone overlooking a beautiful moonlight Lake Michigan and the sparkling Ferris wheel, Matt asked me to marry me and of course I said YES!
